Matthew Heusser

The managing director at Excelon Development, Matthew Heusser has spent his adult life in professional pursuit of excellence in software delivery, which resulted in an Agile Award in 2014 as the influential online contributor to the field, along with a 2014 recipient of the Most Influential Agile-Testing Professional Person Award. In addition to Matt's 2+ decades of doing software delivery and helping others do it, he has an earned Master's Degree in Computer Informations Systems from Grand Valley State University, along with a Bachelor's in Math/CS from Salisbury. With over 1,000 articles and podcasts to his credit, Matt is sometimes known as the "Dean of Software Test Writing", but that is not all. Matt was also the initial lead organization of the Great Lakes Software Excellence Conference, the Workshop on Technical Debt, the Workshop On Self-Education in Software Testing (WHOSE), and the Workshop on Teaching Test Design (WhatDa). A father of three daughters, Matt spends most of his spare hobby energy as a parent, playground monitor at Dawson elementary school, sometimes soccer coach, learning to cook, learning German, studying his catholic faith, stoicism, investing ...
